On Friday, September 5, the day of the official album release, Devin Denzel headlined The Test of Faith Album Release Show with a LIVE band at the Go-Go Museum in Anacostia, turning the venue into a powerful celebration of D.C. culture. The night opened with high-energy sets from Drew Keys and A. WAL THE SULTAN, before Devin’s performance brought out special guests A. WAL THE SULTAN, Sing Steph, Let The Dirt Say Amen, and his uncle, the legendary Jas. Funk of Rare Essence. Performing in a museum that also honors his father, Quentin “Footz” Davidson of Rare Essence, Devin delivered a highly energetic, crowd-engaging set that embodied the spirit of his project The Test of Faith—a story of tragedy and triumph told with the heartbeat of D.C. as its backdrop—ultimately creating a spiritual showcase of resilience, legacy, and the city’s musical soul.
